American drivers need more fuel-efficient automobile choices to reduce oil dependence, save money at the pump, and help reduce global warming pollution. But the average fuel economy of the vehicles automakers have given us has remained stagnant for decades despite steady advances in vehicle technology. We have a tremendous opportunity right now to pass strong national fuel economy standards.

Representatives Edward Markey (D-MA) and Todd Platts (R-PA) have introduced the Fuel Economy Reform Act, a bipartisan measure that would strengthen U.S. fuel economy standards. Please urge your member of Congress to cosponsor this important bill that would give consumers more efficient, cleaner vehicle options.
