The short explanation of this alert was:

Minnesota may experience more severe global warming effects than previously expected according to Confronting Climate Change in the Great Lakes Region, a report by the Union of Concerned Scientists. These effects include poorer air quality and more frequent extreme heat and heavy precipitation events.

Beginning in March, the Minnesota legislature will consider strengthening the state’s renewable electricity standard (RES).  This would help curb global warming and boost Minnesota’s economy.  Please urge your elected leaders to take action on global warming by supporting the RES.

Please make your letter personal by adding in your own thoughts and concerns. Every letter makes a difference, but customized letters have the greatest impact!
