America needs to end its oil addiction and shift towards cleaner transportation technologies and fuels. A bipartisan group of senators and representatives has just introduced legislation that represents an important first step. It would require the president to save as much as 10 million barrels of oil per day by 2030 by creating incentives and standards that would increase vehicle efficiency and alternative fuel use. Please send a letter to your members of Congress urging them to cosponsor these bills and set us on the path to protecting our national, environmental, and economic security.
